The Little Fisherman
While he was enjoy playing, the child is also often noticed an elderly uncle who almost every day come to the river for fishing. Every time he play in the river, each time he saw uncle was always engrossed handed pole. Sometimes the catch is only a little. However, not infrequently also obtained numerous fish.
One afternoon, while the uncle prepared to go home with the fish that almost fills the basket, the boy tried to approach. He greeted his uncle with a smile happy. Seeing the child approached him, the uncle say hello first. "Hey kid, you want fish? Choose what you like and take it some . Take it home and ask your mother to cook it as a dinner tonight," said the friendly uncle.
"No, thank you Uncle," replied the boy.
"Uncle noticed, you almost play here every day, looking at me while fishing. Now there are fish that uncle offered to you, why do you refuse?"
"I like watching you while fishing, And I want to fishing like you. Would you teach me how to fish?" the boy asked hopefully.
"Oooh, It turns out you're a smart kid. By learning to fish you can get as much as you want to fish in this river. All right. Because you do not want to fish, uncle give you this fishing pole. Tomorrow we start fishing lesson, Okay?"
The next day, the boy eagerly returned to the riverbank to learn fishing with his uncle. They put bait, throw a fishing line into the river, waiting patiently, and the hook was sunk into the river with bait. For a moment, the bait looks rocked and approached by the fish. At that moment, when the fish eat the bait, the uncle and the boy was immediately rushed to pull the stick with the fish hook in the end.
And so on. Every time fish eat the bait, then they throw back the hook with the bait. Put it back, tossed into the river, waiting the fish to eat, remove the hook from the fish's mouth, until the afternoon arrived.
Before going home the boy asked, "Uncle, Is there another trick to fishing, or just like what I learn today?”
Hearing the question, the uncle smiled wisely. "Yes my son, yes fishing just like this way. All you have to do is practice to be patience and perseverance through it. Then focus on the goals and concentrate on what you are doing. Learning to fishing is same as learning in this life, every day repeating the same thing. But make sure you do a good thing. Patience, persistence, focus on goals and concentrate on what you are doing, then whatever you goal could be achieved. "

ADD - Assignment Mapping
If you have ADD, you perhaps have run into the doubtful communications hindrance more than onetime. Your ADD control is just cranking at the trot of illumine, and what may look entirely right to you, may make other people footstep back and go, "Huh?" while you think they get it, they don't and miscommunication like that can argument tons of distress. How do you mutation that?
When you're asking for anything, do you say, "Give me that, desire," and idea to the kitchen defy, which is burdened using all number of gear? Which "that," did you mean? The bread? The spatula? The toaster? You see? It can be any that, and people have no idea which one. But if you say, hand me the fork on the defy, desire, that makes a big difference, providing there is solely one fork on the defy. But being limited regarding gear is so greatly better than vagary. You won't be frustrated because the other qualities doesn't understand, and they won't be questioning what "that" is.
ADD doesn't card us to be great communicators. What we see as explosive forgive might not be so transparent to others, and this can be especially risky at work--at work using a responsibility that you poverty to commit. Making gear entirely forgive before the hand goes off and does what you poverty done will make a charge work because you're both forgive on the idea.
But what if you disuse to do this? What if you have this immense charge due? You have a deadline. So, you ask star to help you to coach a shot to embrace in the charge. But, you don't tell them that you poverty it in Microsoft outshine so that it will cleanly integrate using your forte idea presentation. So, they go off and coach the shot in another spreadsheet that's not compatible. Then, what? eternally ask others to reiterate the method back to you so that you make certainly you're both on the same page.
Anytime you poverty star moreover to do anything for you, you poverty to footstep back and pretend you're brainless. Pretend that you poverty every footstep of the method and commence prose a logic down for making what you poverty done work. When you've elegant, look it over and be certainly it's closely what you want. If you time on the time to do this, and the other qualities doesn't apprehend back the expected fallout, you have solely manually to accuse. Try making a demur map or just write gear out so that you can give it to the other qualities. This will unpick many ADD miscommunication issues.
Most of us learn to contract using ADD along the way, whether we've been diagnosed or not. Sometimes, all it takes is slowing down a little and charming some doubly charge that will pay off in the long run. Try to apprehend that linear-thinking people don't see the big picture like we do. Give others step-by-step systems to pursue when delegating and you'll have an easier life.

Four Good Luck Tips
You can call it good luck, or cause and effect, or whatever you want. But you know that some people have more good things happen in their lives, and more happy surprises. What you may not know is that there are things you can do to be more like them and so be luckier yourself. Here are a few tips to get you started.
Don't Take Advice From Your Fears
Letting fear make decisions is a bad habit that is sure to get in the way of having more luck in your life. Acting from fear also sabotages your self-growth. Did you know that Johnny Carson had stage-fright every night before he went on the air? He stepped out there anyhow, and enjoyed doing the Tonight Show for decades. Fear is just a feeling. Move forward despite it.
Relaxed Goal Setting
Committing yourself to specific goals too soon can backfire. This is because a goal has to be seen in context of all our other goals and values. For example, when I used to write down specific financial targets, I accomplished them, but I made myself miserable doing so. Many people find that they are happier if they take a clear direction, and then let the goals formulate themselves in time. Setting goals and writing them down is a powerful way to make progress, but it's up to you to decide when specific goals are appropriate.
Breath Deep
Take several deep breaths through your nose from time to time. Close your eyes, pay attention to your breathing, and let the tension drain from your muscles while doing this. This is like a mini-meditation.
Mouth-breathing expands your chest, but if you breath through your nose you'll notice how your abdomen extends. You see, nose-breathing causes the diaphragm to pull air to the bottom of your lungs. This delivers a good dose of oxygen into your bloodstream and brain. It also tends to relax you. Relaxed and thinking better - that's a recipe for good luck.
Forget The Paranormal Explanations
Many people are looking for paranormal explanations for luck, and for related phenomena like intuition and creativity. But why? There are good psychological explanations for why some people are luckier than others that have nothing to do with psychic abilities. There are exercises that have been shown to improve one's luck whether or not we have a decent explanation yet.
Why do people need an appeal to the paranormal? Perhaps part of the reason is that if psychic powers could bring you luck, it would be easier than making changes in how you think and act. There is nothing wrong with looking for an easier way - as long as the search does not become an excuse for not taking the steps that are proven to work.
In Richard Wiseman's ten-year study of lucky people, he found definite differences between lucky and unlucky people. What he didn't find, however, was any indication of anything paranormal. He says, "I've found plenty of evidence of unscientific approaches to data, but have never come across a paranormal experiment that can be replicated."
For example, he found that people described by themselves and others as lucky were not any more likely to win the lottery. No surprise there - a lottery is random chance. On the other hand, people who are considered lucky can win more often in business or love or even artistic endeavors, and without paranormal powers. They simply think and act in ways that promote a better outcome - they apply principles of good luck.

How To Find Stability In A Crisis At Work
In times of great change and uncertainty we look, sometimes anxiously, for some stability: a reference point, something fixed on the chart of experience. We want to orientate ourselves, to know where we are. Then we have an opportunity to navigate to where we want to be.
If we look for a symbol of stability, we might choose a mature oak tree: strong, enduring and massive. This tree has stood solid and unmoving for two or three hundred years. All through the turbulence of human history, war and peace, it has passed the seasons in its natural cycle.
The stability and longevity of the oak is only possible because of its roots. They collect essential water and minerals from the soil and, critically, they are the structural anchor for the tree. When winter gales come it is the strength of the roots that determines whether the tree stands or falls.
In our own human experience, what are our roots? What keeps us anchored when we are buffeted by change?
Our roots are the things we hold most dear. People refer to these as their values. Although we are not always consciously aware of our values, we can tease them out with questions like:
What is important to you? What do you really care about? What can't you live with? What can't you live without? What makes you angry - what value does this violate?
As you become aware of your values, they act as an anchor of stability. You can orientate yourself around them. So when you have a decision to make you can see which choice is going to honour your values and which choice takes you further away.
There is one another factor to take into account. Some of our values are more important to us than others. We hold them in a kind of hierarchy. When you are making decisions and taking action in a changing world, it is very useful to know your top values.
You can find your hierarchy of values by following the process below (this will appeal particularly to those of you who enjoy puzzles and sudoku!)
1. Write down your values as a simple list.
2. Number your values from the top of the list starting at 1.
3. Now go to the bottom of your list (for illustration purposes, let's suppose you have 10 values)
4. If you are motivated to do something because of value #9, would contravening value #10 stop you? If the answer is 'Yes', swap values #9 and #10
5. If you are motivated to do something because of value #8, would contravening value #9 stop you? If the answer is 'Yes', swap values #8 and #9
6. If you are motivated to do something because of value #7, would contravening value #8 stop you? If the answer is 'Yes', swap values #7 and #8
7. Continue moving up the list value by value in the same manner until you get to the top
8. Now repeat steps 4 to 7 until you get 'No' answers all the way up
9. Your values are now listed in descending order of importance to you
What does all this mean in the real world?
It means that when change is coming thick and fast, we can return to our 'roots'. We have access to a stable reference point.
By taking actions that honour our most important values, we keep ourselves in the picture. Instead of the storm overwhelming us and violating what we know is important, we have a safety harness that connects us to what really matters.

Control Your Own Level of Motivation
When I first mention this to most people, they really don't get it, so here is a simple formula for keeping your moods upbeat.
Audio books and music can be used as tools for motivation.
The audio book is such a great motivational and learning tool, while you are commuting, or just out for a drive by yourself. I mention "by yourself" because, ideally, you should spend quality time with people in your car.
You can learn so much about life and a self-improvement audio book can keep you motivated all day long.
When I first started listening to audio books it was during commuter traffic through Providence and Boston. I would show up to meetings relaxed, with fresh ideas, and motivated. When people asked me the secret, I told them about the magic of audio books.
Most of them never asked me again, thought I was some strange eternal optimist, and never bothered to try an audio book.
Unfortunately, many people are slaves to stress, and don't want to change anything. They go about their lives with a perfect recipe for a heart attack and high blood pressure.
Here is the ultimate recipe for a very sad and short life.
You must combine "running late" to work, high volume traffic, the daily latte, a high stress job, and show up barely on time or late.
Some people are, what I call, "mad at the world." They drive from one intersection to the next, making gestures at everyone. Some of these people can be helped, while others go through a daily cycle of frustration and even invite violence.
Now, let's get back to you. As long as you stay aware, you have control over your motivation, moods, and level of optimism. So, take charge by plugging yourself into positive energy with books, audio books, music, and positive people.

Smart Women Keep Their Inner Door Open
Our family went to the Santa Barbara Zoo this past weekend. I love this zoo because it’s not overwhelming (you can see everything in about 2 hours) and Santa Barbara is a favorite spot of mine to relax. When we entered the exotic birds area, a sign on the door read, “For the safety of our birds, please close the inner door before opening the outer door.” That really made me chuckle. I thought, “Well, I don’t think the women will have too much trouble remembering this!”
What do I mean? Many women keep their inner door closed tight with a double-bolt lock on it and have misplaced the key to open it. What inner door am I referring to? The one that leads to our inner thoughts…our inner life. Yes, you do have an inner life. It’s that voice of intuition and deeper knowing that we all experience. It speaks almost in a whisper so that we can barley hear it. Why? Because the outer door…our outer life, is wide open. It lets everything in; the noise, traffic, emails, cell phones, iPods, co-workers, never-ending meetings, grocery shopping, homework, community volunteer work. Have I covered it all? How could you possibly have the time to locate the key and then get the door open on your inner life when the outer life demands so much?
In my work with women, this is something that is supported from beginning to end. You see, the answers about what you want in your life are all within you. In fact, I would bet they are locked behind that inner door. It’s essential to have support in helping you to create the time and space to locate the key, unlock the door and step inside to take an inventory of what’s there.
How do I know this? Well, I have some experience with this. There was a time in my life that if I had read this article, I would not have had any idea what this meant. I had no idea that I had any other life other than the one that I was living. It was busy, hurried, passionless, and one long to-do list of things that did not really provide much meaning in my daily life, let alone my future. While working with my own coach and creating the time and space to explore what was missing for me, I began to understand exactly who I am and better yet, where I wanted to go next.
Isn’t it amazing that all the answers are within us and yet we question so many things every day? It’s about getting in touch with your inner voice that’s behind the inner door. Allowing the inner voice to be heard, and not drowned out by the outer “noise”.
How about you? Do you have any idea where the key is to your inner door? Do you visit your inner life on a regular basis? If you do, bravo! It means that you are in touch with where you are going in your life, dreams and goals. I shudder to think what might have happened if I had not taken the time and allowed myself to hear my inner voice. I can tell you that it has made all the difference in my life. I am living a life full of passion and energy for myself, my family and work that I love.
Anything is possible. Everything is waiting for you.

Choose Happiness First
Have you ever wished for or wanted something because it would make you happy? When you got it, were you happy and for how long? If what you did or received didn't bring you the happiness you anticipated - why?
I first met him in grade school; Brian always talked about being married and having two children. Throughout the years it was what he most talked about; how happy he was going to be. When he finished school, got a job, married someone he loved and had children; he would be the happiest person in the world.
School was not easy for Brian, he was small in stature and the bullies loved to pick on him. The more difficult school became for him, the more he would drift into his imagination and envision his new life after graduation. If it was going to happen it would have to be later as he was just not popular with the girls in school or anyone else. Withdrawn and unnoticed he struggled through 12 years of hell, just surviving, and except for me; friendless.
As his friend I wanted him to be happy and I also looked to his new found happiness when he finished school. What a wonderful life he was going to have with his family and friends. We talked about how his wife would look and how she would love him and take care of him.
His children filled with love for Dad would be totally devoted to him and they would follow him around like puppies. Brian had big dreams and absolute faith that life would be easier and filled with happiness once he had what he wanted. Twelve years of struggle finally ended on his graduation. He refused to attend the ceremonies and gave the thumb up gesture to the whole idea.
Brian quickly found a job and made a down payment on his first car. This was a symbol for him as the very first step in finding his long overdue happiness. Just over three weeks into his job, he met a girl and started dating, and six weeks later he was married. Ten months later Brian proudly introduced his son to the world and 18 months later a daughter.
Brian's whirlwind tour had netted him everything that he wanted except for one thing. A few years into his marriage Brian was not happy, in fact he was never so miserable in his life. Nothing he did or had brought him the happiness he so desperately wanted. His relationships with his wife, children and even his car were not happy ones.
Psychologists would look back to his childhood and suggest many things contributed to his present situation. On the surface I would agree with them. However, I look to the root causes and break things down to their simplest denominator.
On the surface his family relations may not have been very positive. His relationships with his siblings could have contributed to his negative attitude. His small frame and frail appearance may have disempowered him. But these are all physical attributes of a life he manifested that was not filled with happiness. From the beginning the reality of all these things was that he did not choose happiness first.
Brian disempowered himself to be happy by attaching happiness to things and events that were going to happen in the future. Brian had become quite comfortable with not being happy. So in every moment of his young life he decided he would be happy later. Happiness for him was outside of himself; it was something that would come as a package later.
The truth is we are not victims of circumstances; we create them. It is not correct to judge Brian's life as being wasted. In fact his life was lived exactly the way he chose. At some level of consciousness he chose not to be happy now, but to set a goal to be happy in the future. Judgment ignores the destiny of the spirit; what the spirit has chosen to experience; what we observe of one's life is always appropriate in the moment. Brian's struggle in the beginning could well lead him to total bliss in the future or not. I don't know what it is that Brian wanted to experience in the physical life, and apparently he didn't know either. Every step we make leads to another, sometimes the step seems to lead away from our destiny, but this is not possible. All steps lead to a final destination.
Happiness doesn't come to us; we are happy by nature. In the reverse order we think of happiness first then seek to express or demonstrate it physically; this is not the way Brian chose. It still does not mean that what he chose would not bring him happiness if we are to look at the greater picture. It may well mean a side step to happiness that will have greater meaning and expression.
The reason Brian didn't experience his happiness in his choices was because he had no power to make it happen. He gave away his power to people and events and it was not delivered. There are no things, events or people in the world who can "make" us happy. Our emotions are triggered by our perspective; how we see ourselves in relationship to others and our environment. A happy event for one can be just the opposite for another. When we leave our emotions to the whims of others we will always be disappointed.
Brian could have been happy at any point in his life if he had chosen to be. With the thought of happiness as his current desire, he would have drawn people, places and things to him that would reflect his happiness. What he chose was a different way to demonstrate his journey to the awareness of happiness and his own power to manifest it.
All of us have heard someone say "If only I had this or that" I would be happy. Think back a bit; were they happy and if so, for how long? After the initial happiness, did they go into depression, disappointment, anger or some other emotion; most likely. Somewhere along the way after the event, they chose to feel some other way. Happiness attached to a thing or event does not last if it was not preceded by the will to be happy. If the awareness of happy is attached to an object or event, then once you have it you have reached the end of your journey. Even if the happiness remains for some time, when the object or event is removed the attached happiness will disappear as well. The awareness may remain in memory for a period until it is forgotten. To last, the awareness of happy would have to precede the event and the physical manifestation would be the symbol of that happiness.
Can Brian ever be happy; of course, it's simply about choice? Can he be happy with his present circumstances; of course? He can change his thoughts about what he has or is experiencing and turn his life around. He can also leave behind what he already has, if it does not reflect his true feelings. It certainly may not be easy, or maybe it would be if he chose happy first, and then decided to act on it. It may very well come easy for him to start a new life that reflects his current feelings of happiness.
Happiness, sounds, looks, feels, smells, and tastes different to everyone. No two people identify with it the same way. The real truth is that happiness is expressed through these senses differently not the other way around. The senses react to the desire to be happy.
There are a couple of things to remember here. Happiness precedes the physical manifestation of it. You are always happy by nature and you choose to experience it or any other emotion in your own unique way. Thought, word, and deed are the steps to creating your experience. Never depend on anyone or anything to bring you happiness - it isn't going to happen.
Know this; you are the creator of all things you will experience. No person or god has any control over you. You are a victim only if it is what you wish to experience at some level of your consciousness.
In all things you create, be aware of what it is you "really" desire as very few people actually know what they want. Also, if happy is all that you are, you will never experience it. Happy is only relative to unhappiness, you must know both in order to experience either one. Choose the one you most wish to experience.

Life Goes On: Don't Give Up!
It's easy to say, isn't it - 'life goes on'... I've heard similar statements all my life: "she'll be right mate..." "There's always tomorrow...!" "Ah well, that's life". When I truly think about it though, I find that statement to be both flippant and correct.
Flippant because it's often thrown out in casual conversation where it's not meant to be taken seriously. For example, I've left my wallet at home when I need it... or I can't find my keys... "Ah well, life goes on". It's not a situation that is going to have any effect on me in the long term.
However, the same flippant statement is also widely used in completely different contexts. My background is in health care, and I have spent quite a lot of time surrounded by people experiencing highs and lows in life - particularly those who are faced with tragedies and have life changing decisions to make, or people whose lives are about to change dramatically due to the loss or severe injury of a loved one.
The way people respond to such situations varies widely depending on several factors such as family background, degrees of separation to the person involved, severity of incident, age of people involved, spiritual or religious backgrounds, and many many more factors. Sometimes people scream, cry, yell the place down, start throwing things, collapse etc.. and others go quiet, smile, reflect on the person or family involved, hug each other or start making phone calls.
Often during these times I will hear such expressions: "it could have been worse"... "At least (such and such) didn't happen"... "life goes on"...
The point of the matter is this: it's normal and natural to respond to such situations in a variety of ways. It's normal to go through a grieving pattern and process, and to handle each situation differently. When it really comes down to it however, "life goes on" is not such a silly phrase: in reality, it's often a sobering but true concept.
It's good to live our lives with a "life goes on" attitude. I'm not trying to downplay the seriousness of injury, death or tragedies, but it's important to realise that things happen in this world that are out of our control.
Sometimes they are flippant things that don't really matter, other times they are life changing.
We can go on. Human's have an amazing ability to adjust to given situations, and we really can go on. Life goes on - how true that is. Often we don't know why bad things happen, we don't know why we have been put in situations that just aren't fair. When a child dies, why is that?! It's so devastating for everyone involved.
Life goes on.
Life goes on.
We are all here for a reason, and it may not be until 20, 30 years down the road where we can reflect on what has happened and truly make more sense of it all.
I'm sorry if you have had things happen in your life that are unfair, or tragically devastating. Certainly I've also had things happen that are unjust, unfair, sad. Don't give up!
You are an important part of this world, and you are here for a reason!
