There are times that we all feel lonely. We wish we had more friends. Perhaps a close friend has moved away or gotten married. Or we turn around and realize that we don’t have the close relationships in our life that we used to. Why is it that some people seem to have lives filled to the brim with friends and other people struggle to maintain a few friendships to the best of their ability? The secret to better relationships is the Law of Attraction.
The Law of Attraction is quite simply that thoughts become things and that like attracts like. So whatever you believe becomes reality. Your thoughts create your world. If you think, “people like me” then people will indeed like you. If you hesitate and think “most people don’t really like me” then yes, most people you meet will not like you. Fortunately, you can use the Law of Attraction to change your thinking and change your life. Better relationships are easily attained.
The first secret to using the Law of Attraction is to express gratitude for the relationships that are already in your life. Be thankful for the friendships that you do have. Remember that the Law of Attraction works directly with your thinking and that gratitude creates wonderful positive energy. By being grateful for the friendships in your life, the Universe can only respond by giving you more friends! It is that simple! Do things to show the friends in your life that you are grateful for their friendship. Listen to them, be a good friend and genuinely care for them.
Many people that have challenges with friendships need to change their thinking. There is something in their thinking that is actually repelling people from their life. Examine your thinking closely to understand what could be pushing relationships away. Do you think in some way you don’t deserve to have relationships? Do you have low self-esteem and not think well or kindly of yourself? Are you first a good friend to yourself? We all need to be our own friend first before we can be a friend to others.
You can change your thinking by using visualizations and also affirmation. Create a visualization that shows you socializing with friends who are happy to see you. Or some other visualization about friendship that is meaningful to you. The visualization needs to be something that is special to you. See this visualization using your mind’s eye several times each day.
Say an affirmation several times a day also to change your thinking. Affirmations are positive statements created in the present tense. Your affirmation could be “I have many friends” or “I am a great friend.” Create an affirmation that feels like something about friendship that is special and meaningful to you. Say it with enthusiasm and know that it is changing your thinking.
As you use the Law of Attraction, notice how your life changes. New people may come into your life or old relationships may change. People you were not close with may decide to become closer to you. Or friendships may change as you realize you want better friends in your life. Be open to how the Law of Attraction creates wonderful friendships for you!
